A GLIMMER OF HOPE

WAKE THE FUCK UP!
Raising awareness of the urgent plastic crises on the coasts of Thailand, Bali and Hawaii through Music & Art
ABOUT THE PROJECT
'A GLIMMER OF HOPE'
Ocean plastic is a global problem, but some areas are more severely impacted than others. And while there are more and more organisations emerging everyday, there still isn't nearly enough to tackle the growing plastic problem.
We decided to play our part in the clean up operation by visiting these places, organising music shows for and with locals, and pull together
beach-clean-ups with the local community.
Another big part of the WAKE THE FUCK UP movement is visits to local schools, to not only play free music-shows for the kids but to also take our time and have an open discussion with them about what can be done to avoid further pollution.
We believe that every individual collectively has the power to change the world. Lets create the world we want to see.

"For years and years I have been struggling to find a true and meaningful purpose for my music and artistry - I've written hundreds of songs, released my own and produced numerous albums for other artists, travelled the world and played way over a thousand shows on both tiny and gigantic stages, not to mention countless busking sessions only to find out what I really care about is nature, mother earth, the planet we live on -
the source of creation and our home.
We must act now!"
"I painted this piece of art not as a message or despair, but of hope for a change on our planet. I hope to donate the proceeds of this painting directly towards this campaign. This is just one way that I hope to make a difference to the plastic crises. There is so much to do! With many participants and donation we can do a lot in a short amount of time. I appreciate all of your support. Thank you."

A MESSAGE OF HOPE
"It seems the plastic crises is so bad that it is beyond repair or that change is out of our hands. The simple truth is, it is not. You can help!
You can be the change, the light, the small glimmer of hope in the vast ocean choked in plastic waste. Your small change has the power to influence those around you. Then they will influence those around them and so forth. Like the ripple in the ocean that eventually became the wave, all seemingly small reactions, collectively, have the power to change the world. That is how real change occurs.
Don't ever be afraid to spread your light, especially in the darkest places where there seems to be no other light around you. You will not go unnoticed.
In fact, you will light up those around you, those who really need you - this world that needs you.
Don't wait for others to change. The government to change. The world to change. BE THE CHANGE! Shine your light! Make more choices that are aligned with your truth. Start speaking up. Take action wherever you can. We are all responsible and we all have a job to do. Create the world you want to see, one step at a time"
